Bicycles can be transported from Fort Lauderdale to the University of Miami and returned to Fort Lauderdale from Key West. One way and Roundtrip options are available.

From Fort Lauderdale to Miami – $40.00

• Bicycle reservations must be made and paid for through this site only
• Bicycles must be dropped off by Wednesday, November 15th no later than 6:00pm
• Downtown Bicycles is located at
  • 2571 E SUNRISE BLVD, FORT LAUDERDALE, FL 33304
  • Please remove any bike pumps, water bottles, computers, and other items that may fall off during transport.
  • Attach a copy of your Bike Transport receipt showing proof of payment and your Rider Number.
• Bikes will be placed in Bike Parking on racks during Orientation Day on Thursday. You will need to go to Bike Parking to check your bike into SMART Ride and place your placard on it.

From Key West to Fort Lauderdale – $50.00

• Immediately following closing ceremonies in Key West there will be trucks available for the return transport back to Downtown Bicycles.
• Please remove any bike pumps, water bottles, computers, and other items that may fall off during transport.

Downtown Bicycles is located at 2571 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.   All bikes must be collected by Tuesday following the ride or arrangements made directly with Downtown Bicycles.

Rentals:

• Experienced riders have shared with us that Downtown Bicycles in Fort Lauderdale and Eaton Bikes in Key West have convenient options. Bicycle rentals are not handled by the SMART Ride.

  • Bicycles can be rented from Downtown Bicycles (paid separately and does not include shipping to Miami or back to Fort Lauderdale, this will need to be paid for separately).

• Eaton Bikes
  • If you use them, you must reserve online only AND reserve at least three(3) Day minimum. They will deliver the bikes to AH of Monroe one Thursday, November 16th for transportation to the University of MIA. The renter/rider is responsible for returning the bike to EATON Bikes in Key West.

• Bikes shipped from out of state may be sent to Downtown Bicycles for assembly/disassembly
