Sean Conklin - Rider # 382
WE can end HIV in our lifetime. We can end HIV in 10 years. Aside from my role as a program evaluator for Palm Beach County's Ending the HIV Epidemic program, I am passionate about and committed to providing quality services for people living with HIV and AIDS. 2021 is a world of possibilities, and I want to help make this the best year yet. I have committed to do my part and am looking forward to not just fundraising and helping change the face of HIV and AIDS but to be part of this amazing event this year. On Friday November 19th, and Saturday November 20th I will join hundreds of other individuals who will ride their bicycles or crew from Miami to Key West 165-miles. Our journey will be one filled with hope, filled with pride, and filled with the dream of a future free of AIDS. This year will mark the 18th year of The SMART Ride journey, I have set an ambitious goal to help raise more than the required $1250 because I believe what we do makes a difference (and because 100% of the money you donate will go back to the community).
The event guarantees that every penny that I raise (with your help) will be given to AIDS Service Organizations and directed to prevention, education and direct services. I believe in building the world you want to live in, and together we can make a world free from new HIV infections, and eventually eradicate HIV forever.
This event is unlike other similar type events. It’s the second largest AIDS bicycle ride in the country and the only one of its size to guarantee that 100% of the funds raised will go back to the benefiting agencies. I hope you will consider joining me on this journey.
We share the words of Margaret Mead "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world, indeed; it is the only thing that ever has."
