Ray Warren - crew # 2038
For many years I’ve financially supported an effort to raise money for HIV services organizations in south Florida - particularly AH-Monroe, the invaluable support group in the Florida Keys.
While I’ve been a contributor for
many years, this year I determined to do more. My bad knee makes cycling the
entire route problematic. But I signed on to be part of the crew – the folks
who will also work both days on traffic control, hydration, and other support
services. That makes me part of the team – with an obligation to raise money
for the cause.
I am asking my cherished friends from across the country (and beyond) to help us in these difficult times. AH Monroe would have been a primary beneficiary of money raised from several canceled events here on the island this year. So, the need is now greater than ever. It is vitally important to me to be a real contributor to my team (The Key West Mile Markers) and I can’t do it without your help.
The Smart Ride’s administrative costs are covered by underwriters. Every contribution to the ride campaign goes directly to the service organizations it supports.
I’m looking forward to working hard on the two days of work in November and trust me, I will remember and give thanks to God for each of you.
Let’s defy a little gravity and do good together.
