Bryan DuBac - Rider # 282
This is Year 3 of me being part of Smart Ride. I am Rider #282.
In the last two years I’ve been fortunate enough to have raised $5300 thanks to friends and family. This year I want to raise an additional $2500. I appreciate any and all donations. Every dollar makes a difference in the life of people icing with HIV/AIDS. Did you know that Central Florida has the second highest HIV infection rate in the country? Second only to South Florida. THIS IS WHY I RIDE!
Being a Survivor of HIV for over 20 years. I know the ups and downs - physically, emotionally and financially. I now work for Miracle of Love, an HIV/AIDS organization that does amazing for for the community. Please Help me, help others! HIV is not going away, but it is easily managed if people have access to the proper
resources. SMART Ride ensures those resources are more available!
If you company does "Company Match", let me know. Double donations are awesome!
2021 is a world of possibilities, and I want to help make this the best year yet. I have committed to do my part and am looking forward to not just fundraising and helping change the face of HIV and AIDS but to be part of this amazing event this year. On Friday November 19th, and Saturday November 20th I will join hundreds of other individuals who will ride their bicycles or crew from Miami to Key West 165-miles. Our journey will be one filled with hope, filled with pride, and filled with the dream of a future free of AIDS. This year will mark the 18th year of The SMART Ride journey, I have set an ambitious goal to help raise more than the required $1250 because I believe what we do makes a difference (and because 100% of the money you donate will go back to the community).
The event guarantees that every penny that I raise (with your help) will be given to AIDS Service Organizations and directed to prevention, education and direct services. Together we can make a real difference, we can change the world, and help free future generations of living with HIV, while helping those already affected, infected or at risk today stay healthy.
This event is unlike other similar type events. It’s the second largest AIDS bicycle ride in the country and the only one of its size to guarantee that 100% of the funds raised will go back to the benefiting agencies. I hope you will consider joining me on this journey.
We share the words of Margaret Mead "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world, indeed; it is the only thing that ever has."
