Donald Bishop - Crew # 2166
On November 14, 15 and 16 I will be volunteering as a crew member on SMART Ride 16. After taking a couple years off, with the sale of my home and move to my condo, I can say I am very happy to be back with the ride once again. This will be my fifth SMART Ride.
The SMART Ride assists 7 state wide agencies that help people affected by HIV/AIDS, infected by HIV/AIDS and educating people how NOT to contract HIV/AIDS. There are about 300 crew members to support the event which includes about 400 riders who have trained for months and are 100 percent committed to this incredible event. The ride begins in South Miami and the 165 mile journey ends in Key West.
One of the things that makes SMART Ride very different from most non profit organizations is that every penny donated to a rider or crew member gets divided up among the 7 benefiting agencies. Donations go directly to help people and NONE of your donation goes to any salaries or administrative costs. SMART Ride is so very transparent and I believe in and trust the organization 100 percent.
I love talking about SMART Ride and I can answer so many questions put forth regarding the details of the the organization so reach out to me if you have any questions or would like to get involved next year..
At this late date, I am asking if you could please consider a donation to me if you have not already donated to a rider or other crew member. We are trying to beat all records this year and with your donation we can and will do that.
Thank you so much in advance for your generous donation!
