ana puga - Crew # 2218
Yes it’s time to put on my gear(sneakers, shorts, and a RED t-shirt, oh and yes some knowledge back from med school) to serve as medical crew manager for the Smart Ride(Even though this is my 8th year it’s still a little scary as I am a pediatrician and all the riders are grown- ups) . Many of you were amazingly generous in supporting me over these years. Thank you thank you! This year I had a few hurdles to cross to get here and thus the VERY LATE REQUEST! This year I am crewing for two very special people that are the embodiment of unconditional love, commitment and service for people with HIV! What I have learned from these two women make me the person and doctor I am today! Please help me support the work of Marie Hayes at Broward House and Jean Starkey, my hero at CFAP!
Because of the hard work and strong supporters, the SMART RIDE has raised over 9 million dollars in the past 16 years and I’m lucky enough to know and have worked with two of the benefiting agencies! I see the difference the Smart Ride makes in Broward all the time!
This group puts on a 2 day bike ride from Miami to Key West 165 miles(don’t worry I am not riding just playing doc on the ride).
The needs are endless - this is the reality of the work we do in HIV and there is never enough so please reach into your hearts and pockets and support the HIV+ families we serve. Thank you!! Please support me with any amount, every penny counts! I am honored to get your support spiritually and financially! The Ride is in 8 days so act fast! 100% goes back directly to 7 patient service agencies in Florida. Here’s my link:
Please forward to anyone you know who may help us reach our goal! Thank you!
Thanks and love,
